| 内容記述 | ピアエデュケーションの特徴は、同世代の仲間意識の共感・支持による教育効果が高い点と、知識提供だけではなく個人の自信や自己評価を高めることを目標としている点にある。本学では、2004 年度より、大学生ピアエデュケーターの養成とともに、大学生による小学生への性教育活動を展開している。小学5 年次から6 年次にかけた2 年間の継続的な授業展開を通して、子どもたちへの質問紙や感想をもとに授業評価を行い、小学生へのピアアプローチの効果について明らかにした。その結果、(1)小学生と年齢差のある大学生とのコミュニケーションを重視した活動展開によって、両者の関係性を構築することができた。(2)複数の大学生が体験談を語るという共感的アプローチによって、授業内容の理解が促進された。(3)自己肯定感の向上を目的とした授業展開により「自分を好きだ」といえる子どもが増加した。以上のことより、小学生とのコミュニケーションを重視したプログラムと、年齢差のある対象者に対しても、関係性を重視したピアアプローチによる効果的な性教育が可能であることが示された。 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | Peer education is characterized by two points. One is that its high educational effect can be achieved due to the empathy and support that are gained from a sense of camaraderie shared by the parties of the same generation. The other is that its goal is not merely to impart knowledge but to raise self confidence and self esteem as well. Since the 2004 academic year, our college has been providing peer educator training to students and developing their sex education activities for elementary school children. The two-year sessions continued from the 5th to 6th elementary school year were evaluated based on the questionnaire responses and comments from the children to determine the effect of the approach. The results were: 1) the activities with emphasis on communication to fill the age gap between the school children and the college students, helped build up a relationship; 2) an emphatic approach in which the college students shared their own experience with the children, facilitated the understanding of the lesson contents; 3) the lessons designed to enhance self acceptance resulted in more children's saying "I like myself." These outcomes indicate that effective sex education becomes possible with a program designed to place importance on communication with the school choldren and with a peer approach stressing the camaraderie despite age disparity. |
