新型コロナウィルス感染症による感染対策に伴う行動制限があるなか、学生間の交流を深め、学びの醸成
と看護実践力の育成を目指し、正課外教育の一環として2022年3月に「学長杯」を実施した。本稿では、「学長杯」の実施と課題、今後の展望について報告し、看護大学における新たな正課外教育の可能性について検討する。感染対策の観点から「学長杯」はオンラインで行うこととし、総合的な看護の実践力を求める7つのミッションを準備した。参加した学生は1年生～3年生で、チーム対抗でミッションに取り組むように構成した。参加した学生は、事前に提示した準備学習を活用しながら、チームで協働してミッションの解決に向け取り組んだ。学生は複数のミッションに取り組み、看護実践力に必要となる対象者の特性に応じたコミュニケーションや状況を的確に捉え、判断し柔軟に対応する力を発揮した。今後も「学長杯」を継続し、正課外教育としての効果について評価し、正課内教育を連動させ看護実践力育成やキャリア形成を目指した教育システムの構築を検討する。また、対面による「学長杯」の実施、実習施設の看護師の参画や赤十字の組織力を生かした企画の検討も必要である。 |

In March 2021, the “President’s Cup” was held as a part of extracurricular education to deepen the interaction among students, foster learning, and develop practical nursing skills amid the activity restrictions associated with infection control measures due to the coronavirus disease-2019 pandemic. This paper reports on the “President’s Cup” implementation, its challenges, and prospects, and discusses the possibility of new extracurricular education at nursing colleges. The “President’s Cup” was conducted online from the viewpoint of infection control, and seven missions were prepared to seek comprehensive practical nursing skills. The participating students were first-year to third-year students, and the program was structured for them to work on the missions in teams and solve the missions, utilizing the provided preparatory study in advance. The students worked on multiple missions and demonstrated their ability to communicate with the target population according to their characteristics, which is necessary for practical nursing skills and their ability to accurately perceive situations, make judgments, and flexibly respond. We will continue the “President’s Cup” and evaluate its effectiveness as an extracurricular education, and consider educational system construction that aims to foster practical nursing skills and career development by linking it to regular education. “In addition, it is essential to consider implementing the "President’s Cup" in person and the participation of nurses from practical training facilities and planning in order to effectively utilize the organizational strength of the Red Cross. |
