As an expert in one of such peripheral fields (health promotion), I have been teaching statistics for the past few years in a nursing college. The 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, however, forced me to teach statistics in a very limited online environment. COVID-19 pandemic is causing a shift in values in many areas. I also struggled under this COVID-19 situation to find a more meaningful and essential way of teaching/learning statistics. As a result, it was found that it is important to ground concepts of statistics in our real living world, such as embodiment and narrative expression of statistical concepts.
