This paper reports on some of the activities at “Furakokko” in 2019. The presented findings are expected to serve as a resource when considering the future of childcare support. In individual consultations at the mini consultation meeting during Baby Time held in June 2019, nursing faculty were consulted regarding breastfeeding, baby food, and the weight gain of children, and mainly gave instruction on skin care in group guidance. In individual consultations at the mini consultation meeting during Baby Day held in September 2019, nursing faculty were consulted regarding breast problems and mothers’ own use of oral medication, and in group guidance, nursing faculty provided instruction on how to adjust skin care, room temperatures, bedding, and outerwear and underwear, how to measure a child’s fever, and how to give medication to children. Mothers provided daily childcare while making various efforts and had a wide variety of concerns and worries. Feedback from the mothers who participated in the mini consultation meetings included “I am trying to incorporate newly obtained information into my daily life”. We must continue to collaborate with personnel from the Munakata City Child Development Department and the NPO Munakata Childcare Network; furthermore, it is necessary to continue to support mothers in their child-rearing efforts by providing not only child-rearing consultations but also group guidance using pamphlets and creating connections among mothers so that they can raise their children with
