With no legal regulation and social consensus on the disclosure issue in this country, JISART （Japanese Institution of Standardizing Assisted Reproductive Technology）, a private organization, obligates the member clinics to provide pretreatment counseling by certified counselor to both intended donor and recipient couples in which educational supports are offered to them so as to consider deeply the disclosure issue, and to review their attitudes about the issue in the institutional review board（ IRB） before applying to JISART ethical committee for approval of the treatment.\nThis study was carried out in order to evaluate the role of pretreatment counseling for intended recipient couples by analyzing how they understood the disclosure issue and how they made disclosure decision. For this purpose, fourteen couples who delivered babies in the 7 years from 2010 to 2016 after treatment with donated egg from sister or other known third party at a member clinic of JISART were subjected. And their thoughts and opinions given in IRB of the clinic that had b een recorded i n a nonymi zed, ora l proceed i ngs were qua l itatively a na lyzed. More specifically, individual sentences and phrases referring to disclosure and related issues seen in the proceedings were extracted, coded and categorized in a step by step manner. After three step\ncategorizations beginning from a total of 249 codes, four big categories were obtained. They are: ① Recognition of necessity or importance; ②Acquisition of child-centered viewpoint; ③ Concrete image of telling; ④ Thoughts on parenting. The former two and the latter two revealed how the subjected couples understood the disclosure issue and how they made decisions, respectively.\nTaken together, it seems that the pretreatment counseling had played an efficient role as support to the intended donor couples in considering the disclosure issue. However, it should be noted that each of the above-mentioned big categories　includes a minor middle category that implies negative attitude（ 22 in the totaled number of codes）.　\nIn this report, those results are described and discussed in relation to the role of pretreatment counseling as initial support for family building with children of donor’s egg
