We conducted semi-structured interviews with five preceptor nurses at Hospital A. We interpreted the content of the obtained data and analyzed this qualitatively and inductively. The following eight categories were identified as problematic for new graduate nurses: 1) poor crisis response, 2) poor time management skills, 3) poor assessment of given situation, 4) lack of support in daily life, 5) lack of self-initiative, 6) inexperience in nursing skills, 7) poor interpersonal skills, and 8) poor study habits. We hypothesize these problems arise because new graduate nurses feel pressed for time, cannot express themselves sufficiently, and cannot evaluate their own skill levels. We identified the following five topics that should be addressed through education: 1)evaluate patient situations through the use of existing knowledge, suppression of associations between information, and developing predictive judgment capabilities, 2) prioritize patient situations and respond by making appropriate time adjustments, 3) understand and embody a proper attitude towards patients and towards learning as a new graduate nurse and transferring this attitude into action, 4) learn how to interact with patients and provide support in daily life, and 5) perform nursing practices according to nursing doctrines and guidelines and learn to accurately assess one's own skill levels.}, pages = {61--69}, title = {急性期病棟におけるプリセプター看護師が捉えた新人看護師の看護実践上の問題}, volume = {8}, year = {2010}, yomi = {ホンダ, ユミ and マツオ, カズエ} }
