| 内容記述 | 【背景】日本では在留および訪日外国人旅行者の増加に伴い、日本人看護職者が言語・文化の異なる患者に適切なケアを提供する能力の向上が重要な課題となっている。 【目的】本研究は、外国人のケアにおいて日本人看護職者に必要とされる能力を、医療通訳者の視点から明らかにすることを目的とした。 【方法】研究デザインは質的記述的研究。A県で活動する医療通訳者9名を対象に、必要な知識・技術・態度や連携・協働に関する円滑・困難事例について自由記述を求める質問紙調査 (Googleフォームまたは紙媒体) を2021年2月～2022年3月に実施し、質的帰納的内容分析を行った (倫理審査承認済）。 【結果】協力者の平均年齢は50歳、国籍は日本7名・中国2名、対応言語は中国語3名・英語6名。分析の結果、57コード、27サブカテゴリー、4カテゴリーが抽出され、「外国人に真摯に向き合い誠実に接する態度」「外国人のその人らしさの基盤となる文化・生活へ接近する力」「外国人の特徴に応じたコミュニケーションを工夫し看護を実践する力」「医療通訳者と協働体制を構築する力」が明らかとなった。 【結論】本研究結果は、医療通訳者が認知した日本人看護職者の行動や姿勢として、文化能力および文化的謙虚さを基盤とした実践上の資質・能力の重要性を示唆している。これらの知見は、看護基礎教育および現任教育における教育内容を検討する際の基礎資料となりうる。 |

| 内容記述 | Background: In Japan, with the increasing number of foreign residents and inbound tourists, enhancing the ability of Japanese nurses to provide appropriate care to patients with different languages and cultural backgrounds has become an important issue. Objective: This study aimed to clarify the competencies required of Japanese nurses in caring for foreign patients, from the perspectives of medical interpreters. Methods: A qualitative descriptive study design was employed. A questionnaire survey was conducted between February 2021 and March 2022 among nine medical interpreters working in Prefecture F. Participants were asked to provide free descriptions of the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required of nurses, as well as examples of smooth and difficult collaboration and cooperation. The survey was administered using Google Forms or paper-based questionnaires. Qualitative inductive content analysis was performed. Ethical approval was obtained. Results: The mean age of the participants was 50 years. Their nationalities were Japanese (n = 7) and Chinese (n = 2), and their working languages were Chinese (n = 3) and English (n = 6). The analysis yielded 57 codes, 27 subcategories, and four categories: (1) an attitude of sincerely and respectfully engaging with foreign patients; (2) the ability to approach and understand the culture and daily lives that form the foundation of foreign patients’ individuality; (3) the ability to devise communication strategies and provide nursing care tailored to the characteristics of foreign patients; and (4) the ability to build collaborative working relationships with medical interpreters. Conclusion: The findings suggest the importance of practical competencies perceived by medical interpreters, grounded in cultural competence and cultural humility, as reflected in nurses’ behaviors and attitudes. These findings may serve as foundational material for examining educational content in both undergraduate nursing education and continuing professional education. |
